Student Travel

The travel student is becoming a rarity these days as the need for an expanded and diversely knowledge mind is ever more needed. To become a student travel member it is necessary to leave home. To see student travel lands and people that you have never seen before is only the preliminary beginnings of what it is to be a student of travel.

A travel student enjoys the off the beaten track restaurant, the food that cannot be had any place else on this earth except for that one particular place. The student travel enjoys those unique experiences that will only be experienced once and then savored for a life time. This appreciation of these special attributes of the human condition on this planet is fostered over time. It is necessary to begin to student travel a little bit at a time. One experience at a time is the foundation of diverse knowledge and eventually wisdom.

Off the chART Travel endeavors to plant the seed in the student of travel. Those students who want something different for their summer destination. They want something they have not seen on television or the internet. Perhaps it is a place where the internet has yet to take root on student travel! The seed we endeavor to plant is a seed of value. To create in the mind's eye a value of what is good about living on this planet and what is valuable. The student travel we represent is the travel of the conscience to a higher plane of existence. To be at a level where what really matters is the people around you and what you are doing at that moment.

It leaves the trappings of the western world behind. It is a voyage of self discovery as well as the discovery that the world has more to offer than ipods and cell phones. It is a reconnection with the inner artist that used to be so important in kindergarten. It is a reconnection with the joy of living and recording that life through art. It can be any art: photography, painting, writing, video, etc. This is the manner through which most travel stories of old are told. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner or the Odyssey are works of art recording travel. This trip is a reconnection with that tradition. The student of travel must be interested in this connection between art representing the voyage through life or the voyage to a place.

It may only be the vibrancy of a place that leaves an indelible impression on the student travel.
